Hello everyone! Springtime is upon us and I am enjoying the beautiful weather and the budding flowers! God made such a wonderful world for us didn’t He?
Have you ever been talking to someone only to realize they weren’t listening? Have you ever been in a hurry and didn’t take the time to speak to a person at the checkout counter or in the drive through? Have you been the person that wasn’t listening?
I’m sure we all have answered yes to each of these questions at some point in our lives, perhaps more than once. It’s easy to become so task oriented that we forget why we are doing something in the first place. It’s easy to get caught up in the business of life and not see people, people who matter to God. I have been guilty of this myself.
Every person we come in contact with matters to God. He loves every single one of these people! He loves you, He loves me! Aren’t you glad He saw us, even in our sin? Aren’t you glad He didn’t gloss over us as if we did not matter? Aren’t you glad He takes the time to talk to us and guide us?
I want to implore and encourage everyone to really see the people in your daily lives. It doesn’t matter if it’s the grocery store clerk, your spouse, your child, your co-worker, your friend or a stranger. Each of these people is loved by God and should be loved by you, and seen by you. You never know what one kind word, one smile, one hug or the giving of your time can do for someone. You never know the life you may save!
Don’t live in your bubble and expect to make a difference in this world! Be Jesus to your world! Really see others, after all God saw you. I will close this writing with the word of Jesus in Matthew 25:40;
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
Until next time,
